Annie’s Counseling – Who is Annie?

A dear friend came to me with the website of her freshly-launched non-profit mental health resource organization. Named for her grandmother, Annie’s Counseling aims to help those in the Dallas area with mental health support and services, regardless of the ability to pay.

She asked for my help with the content. She’s a therapist, and her partner has the tech skills to build a site, but not the editing skills needed to jazz it up.

The above edits are to the “Who Is Annie” page. It’s the soul of the entire cause. I suggested she pull out the yellow-highlighted quote to feature on the page because, let’s face it, it’s amazing. I also recommended a shift from 2nd person to 1st person to introduce the personal connection and to strengthen the connection between reader and mission.
